Christina tries to run three days a week, but life happens. She does not belittle herself when it does. Commitments, people, and life disrupts her schedule sometimes. Instead of giving up, she resumes running when she can. Her life is busy, is filled with deadlines, has people she wants to make time for, and holds interesting surprises. After an interruption, she climbs back into her schedule.
Christina Francine is a substitute teacher and a working writer, editor, and first-reader. She recently finished her BA in Children’s Literature, a minor in Writing, and in earning Licensure in Elementary Education.
Christina writes for both adults and children, and her work is found in Print and on the Internet. Much of her material is under her pen name, Christina Francine, but some of it under Christina Whitcher or Christina Kennison. Her labor-of-love includes fiction, non-fiction, interviews (Chelsea Quinn Yarbro for one), book reviews (over 250 to date), and cover copy.
Past jobs include editing and first-reading for publishers, coordinating reviews for authors, numerous years working with children and young-adults in public and private education, and working with young children in pre-schools.
Conventions include The World SF & Fantasy and World Fantasy.
Besides reading and writing, other passions include being an advocate for migraine headache sufferers. “Not everyone realizes migraines are a disease,” she says. Public awareness, better education, and running for health is important to her as well.
